DRAENERT has agreed to a promising cooperation with Caesarstone, worldwide leading manufacturer of quartz composite stone, to gain access to a new type of material for our table systems.
Quartz composite stone is a synthetically manufactured product in contrast to the natural stones so far processed by DRAENERT, even though it consists of 93% natural quartz mineral sand. Since more than 20 years, Caesarstone, from Israel (Near Caesarea), manufactures with significant technical expenditure plate material of different appearance; mainly for kitchens, bathrooms and floor covering, but also for furniture manufacture.
Mineral sands are mixed with synthetic resins and colour pigments before they are filled into compression moulds for the excess plates. This mixture is highly compacted and “baked” in vacuum, at a pressure of over 100 t and close to 100° C. In this way, a mineral material of highest strength is generated with technical properties superior in some aspects to natural rocks. A multitude of colours and special effects can be achieved by different additives and, due to this, an appearance quite similar to natural stones. The plate material is finally calibrated and can be supplied high-gloss polished by different grinding processes or also with a rough surface.
General care instructions
- Caesarstone is a quartz material with a hardness comparable with granite or quartzite and can therefore not be scratched with normal equipment in a household. Metal abrasion of knifes or forks can at the most generate darker stripes, which can, as a rule, be removed with a mild scouring agent.
- Caesarstone is a material without pores. Therefore it does not absorb any liquids and colour pigments (tea, coffee, red vine etc) dissolved herein. Also fat and oil cannot penetrate into the surface. Caesarstone is also resistant against all acids used in the household (vinegar, lemon, fruit juices, vine).
- Caesarstone is heat-resistant to a very high degree; mats should, however, always be used for pots coming straight from the oven.
A damp cloth is sufficient for the regular cleaning and care of Caesarstone. Occasionally, the use of washing-up liquid or a soft scouring agent can be helpful. Discolouring or damage to the polish cannot be generated by this.
